This is a great trip for Beer Nerds (or Geeks!). We'll be staying four nights in the Old City of Ghent, a city with a wide mix from the modern to the middle ages. Directly outside the door of our hotel is one of the best Christkindlmarkts in Belgium! From there we will be spending three nights in Brussels, steps away from the Grand Place. Capital of the European Union, Brussels is filled with great beer, great food, and cool people. All of this hosted by Derek and Stacey Edinger, co-owners of Brewery Ardennes, one of the best new craft breweries in New York state. Within the week we will be traveling to at least 8 breweries, visiting Brugge, a tour of two Trappist breweries in the Ardennes, and a smattering of guided walking tours. But the best part is that you have two free days to have your own Belgian adventure!

Price includes round trip airfare from Rochester to Brussels and ALL fuel surcharges and departure taxes*, four nights in the IBIS Ghent Centrum St. Baafs, three nights at the NH Grand Place Arenberg, private motorcoach transfers throughout Belgium, full breakfast each morning, a guided introductory walking tour of Brugge & Ghent, and a pre-departure orientation before we go!

Ring in the New Year by hopping on a jet from ROC/SYR to BRU via DC (IAD)

DAY TWO - Friday January 3

Arrive in Brussels at 7:15 AM. We hop on our Coach with David and head to Antwerp. After we drop off our bags and grab breakfast in Old Town, we have a walking tour of Antwerp.

Afterwards we might visit Stefan at Billi’s Beer Kafeteria and meet George! Night on own in Antwerp.

DAY THREE - Saturday January 4

Breakfast at hotel. 9:00 AM we are off to visit La Trappe. The only Trappist Monastery that allows tours is ours to visit. After we grab some lunch at La Trappe we are off to possibly Zundert. We will be enjoying a meal on Bustronomie on our way back to Antwerp!

After Zundert we head back to the hotel for a night on your own in Antwerp. Staying at Hilton Antwerp Old Town.

DAY FOUR - Sunday January 5

Breakfast at hotel. A day on your own to take in the sights and sounds in The Diamond Capital of Europe! Great restaurants, bars, museums and cathedrals! Last day of the Christkindlmarkt, so grab a gluhwein! Tons to do and see.

If that’s not enough, we are a short train ride from Amsterdam and Brussels, if you’re feeling adventurous! If you’re not getting enough beer, De Konick is in town as well!

DAY FIVE - Monday January 6

Breakfast at hotel. 9:00 AM We say goodbye to Antwerp and hello to Ghent! After we drop our bags off at the hotel, we are off for a walking tour of Ghent. We might enjoy a beer break at Artvelde during the tour, and after the tour you are welcome to join us at Oost for lunch. Return to check in at the hotel and then we walk over for a tour and tasting at Dok Brewery in Ghent.

Afterwards, a night on your own in Ghent. Staying at the IBIS Ghent St Baaf’s Kathedral.

DAY SIX - Tuesday January 7

Breakfast at hotel. 9:00 AM off we go for our Ghent Brewery tour day. Van Steenberge and DeLandtsheer are currently on the docket!

Back by 4:30-5:00. Staying at the IBIS Ghent St Baaf’s Kathedral.

DAY SEVEN - Wednesday January 8

Breakfast at hotel. 9:00 AM we are off to Bruges! A walking tour after we arrive and then enjoy the day in one of Europe’s most beautiful medieval cities! Take in the canals and stunning architecture in a setting with multiple excellent restaurants, bars and breweries. Chocolate galore!

At 5:30 PM we take the Coach back to Ghent for dinner. Feel free to stay in Bruges and take the train back to Ghent! Staying at the IBIS Ghent St Baaf’s Kathedral.

DAY EIGHT - Thursday January 9th

Breakfast at hotel. A free day in Ghent! Take in the sights and sounds of Ghent on your last full day in Belgium. Check your recommendation list for great places to visit.

6:00 AM breakfast at hotel! 7:00 AM back on the coach to take us to BRU.

Flights are going to be arriving home around 5 to get you home for dinner!

Price based on Double Occupancy, Single supplements are available for an additional $300.

 After full payment, any potential for cancellation reimbursement is subject to the trip re-filling to its maximum 50 people per coach, and subject to change fees at the minimum.
